On Episode 31, I describe the basics of yoga philosophy in 3 basic chunks, and along the way, I illustrate how these teachings have been applied to my life in an illuminating way.

I first interpret the first four yoga sutras of master Patanjali, in order to arrive at a clear working definition of yoga. This way we know the goal of practice, as codified by one of the masters of the past.

Then I share the 8 limbed path of yoga, to expound upon a multi-pronged approach to attaining mastery of the mind.  Here we learn about the yoga toolbox

Lastly, I describe the codes of behavior, or ways of being that can help an aspirant achieve yoga, through the lens of practices called yama, and niyama.
