On episode 50, I allow you the listener to peer right into my training logs for weeks 7,8, and 9 (out of 13 weeks) as I prepare for the Philadelphia Marathon, on November 19th, 2023.
This three week block was a massive success, because I made my mileage goal of 50 miles per week for every week. I also realized that I had logged 50 miles in 6 out of 9 weeks of training so far.
On this episode I share the process of overcoming challenges, achieving awesome physical adaptations to training, healing metabolic dysfunction and describe the beauty I experienced along the way.
The purpose of documenting the marathon process is to inspire you on your own large challenges, self imposed or superimposed upon by life. We must eat an elephant a bit at a time, and it is through consistent effort that we grow spiritually from life's challenges.
